Greetings Brothers of Alpha East!

This is the official convention call for the 79th Eastern Region Convention to be held in Southampton, BERMUDA on March 10–13, 2011. The convention is to be held at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel. It's a rare, precious advantage to host a convention in the International District. This time, we get to do so on the beautiful island country of Bermuda.

Brothers of the Regional Staff in conjunction with the local Brothers of Bermuda are hard at work to bringing you a great series of events that are sure to live up to the high standards of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated and provide you, your family, friends and guests with one of the most enjoyable times we have ever experienced at a regional convention.

The theme of this year’s convention is "Shaping The Future on the Basis of the Past". During the convention you will be encouraged to fellowship with your Brothers, learn more about the national programs and special project implementation as well as participate in personal and fraternal workshops. Additionally, there will be many great events to take advantage of the beauty and greatness of the isle jewel known as Bermuda.

We are pleased to offer you the following convention registration packages:

Super Early Bird Registration (before July 1, 2010)

• Alumni Registration - $300.00
• College Registration - $200.00
• Ladies Registration - $200.00

Pre-Registration (July 1, 2010 – Jan 31, 2011)

• Alumni Registration - $350.00
• College Registration - $250.00
• Ladies Registration - $250.00

Late Registration (Feb 1, 2011 - Feb 28, 2011)

• Alumni Registration - $400.00
• College Registration - $300.00
• Ladies Registration - $300.00

THERE WILL BE NO ON-SITE REGISTRATIONS.

Brothers can register on-line at http://registration.alphaeast.com or by downloading a convention call from the "Downloads and Forms" section of the website. The form can be mailed in to address stated in the convention call or it can be faxed to (609) 482-8040.

For your convenience, we have created a payment plan option!! Put a deposit down before July 1, 2010 and you will be locked in to the Super Early Bird Prices!!! (Minimum deposit is $100 per registration package purchased + 1/3 cost of any extra event tickets purchased.) Payments must be completed by August 30, 2010. Any Super Early Bird invoices not completed by Aug 30, 2010 11:59pm will be converted to the Regular Registration rates. Also, for those who take advantage of the Super Early Bird special, they can take advantage of receiving a $200.00 room credit for their hotel stay, up to a max of $400.00, based on double occupancy. This means that two people in a room can reduce a three night stay of $660.00 down to $260.00.
